Request deletion of community reports
85Blends stores community-submitted station information, E85 prices, ethanol percentages, report times, and anonymous installation identifiers using Supabase. Community reports can be submitted without creating an account. To help us identify your report rather than someone else's, send a request to support@85blends.app and include what you can:
- Say whether you used 85Blends for iPhone (iOS) or 85Blends for Android.
- Give the station name and location, and the approximate date or time of your report.
- Include the E85 price or ethanol percentage you submitted, if you remember it.
- Explain whether you want a particular report corrected/deleted or want us to review all reports we can reasonably associate with your installation. A screenshot is optional, and you can obscure unrelated information.
Do not send your password, payment card information, government ID, or precise live location. If more details are required to confirm the matching report, we will ask through the support conversation. Anonymous reports may not always be attributable to a person from an email address alone.
Remove local iOS or Android data
Android: Where the app provides record-level deletion, use it to remove individual records. To erase the app's local data on your device, open Android Settings → Apps → 85Blends → Storage → Clear storage / Clear data (labels differ by device). This removes on-device Garage profiles, fuel logs, and settings, but does not remove Supabase community submissions. If Android backup is enabled, a backup copy may exist with your backup provider.
iPhone / iOS: Use available controls in Garage, Fuel Log, and other sections to delete individual information. Deleting the 85Blends app removes its local app data, but may not delete iCloud/CloudKit copies associated with your Apple ID. You may need to manage the app's stored iCloud data in Apple settings or email us for guidance on eligible app records. Removing the app never automatically removes Supabase community reports.
Clearing app data or reinstalling the app can permanently remove information from your device. Back up anything you want to keep before doing so.
What gets deleted and what may remain
- Eligible community reports: After we can match and verify the requested report, we can remove the corresponding price/ethanol submission and associated installation identifier in those records, subject to justified retention exceptions.
- Station catalogue and other contributions: Public station listings from the AFDC provider, station details submitted by other users, and unrelated community reports do not belong to a single requester and may remain.
- Local app records: Vehicle profiles, fuel logs, and preferences stored on your device can be erased locally. Cloud or system backups may need separate deletion through the provider's controls.
- Support and operational records: Emails used to handle your request, limited server/security logs, and records legally required may be retained as needed for support, compliance, fraud prevention, or service security.
Community reports currently have no universal automatic 90-day deletion policy; relevant station-history records can remain until corrected, superseded, removed, or no longer necessary. We cannot provide one fixed retention period for every support, backup, or service-provider record. Where a verified deletion request applies, we review the affected records and explain any exceptions or additional retention instead of promising deletion of data controlled by another provider.
How we handle your request
- We review your email and identify the relevant platform, records, and request scope.
- We may request additional station, time, or report details to avoid deleting another person's data. We do not require an 85Blends login.
- We delete or correct eligible records we control when reasonably identifiable and permitted, and we explain any data that could not be found, that must be retained, or that requires action in Apple/Android backup settings.
- We reply by email, subject to applicable privacy-law response deadlines. There is no automatic deletion triggered simply by emailing us.
